In 1992, Geely started in the motorcycle industry. In 1997, the first scooter motor was manufactured by Geely in China. Geely has not only contributed to the motorcycle industry, but has also benefited those in fields of automobile, education, and decorating materials.
Its scooters/motorcycles range from 50cc to 250cc and there are over 130 motorcycle/scooter Geely models available. Annually, Geely has sold as many as 600,000 units. Geely prides itself in having a fashionable look at an economical price.
The 125cc Geely scooters tend to carry loads of up to about 140 kg and the maximum speed is about 80 km/hr. The 100cc scooters tend to reach about 90 km/hr and have a maximum load capacity of 140 kg. 50cc scooters can carry up to about 80 kg and its maximum speed is about 40 km/hr.
